  • OR First Class Master's Degree in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology (ME/M.Tech or equivalent)
  • Ph.D. degree in relevant discipline (if applicable, with equivalence as per norms)

For Science & Humanities Subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English etc.):

  • Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) in relevant subject from recognized university
  • NET/JRF/JET qualified (as applicable)
  • Ph.D. degree (with UGC norms for direct recruitment)

Note: Candidates appearing in final year exams can apply, but must possess qualification by closing date.

⚙️ Selection Process
Two-Stage Selection Process:

Stage 1: Academic Score (80 Marks)
Evaluation based on Academic Records/Achievements as per detailed marking scheme in clause 8 of advertisement:

  • Graduation: Based on percentage (Max 15 marks)
  • Post-Graduation: Based on percentage (Max 20 marks)
  • M.Phil (for Science & Humanities): (Max 05 marks)
  • Ph.D.: 15 marks (with equivalence conditions)
  • NET with JRF: 15 marks | NET/JET without JRF: 10 marks
  • GATE: Based on percentile (7.5 to 15 marks)
  • Research Publications: As per schedule (Max 08 marks)
  • Teaching/Post-Doctoral Experience: 02 marks per year (Max 04 marks)
  • Awards: International/National (01 mark each), State Level (0.5 mark each) – Max 03 marks
  • Need Based/Contractual Teachers of Jharkhand: Additional 01 mark per year (Max 05 marks extra)

Stage 2: Interview (20 Marks)

  • Candidates shortlisted based on Academic Score (80 marks) will be called for interview

Final Merit: Based on total marks (Academic Score + Interview) = 100 marks

Tie-breaking Criteria:

📝 How to Apply – Step by Step Guide
Step 1: OTR Registration Visit www.jpsc.gov.in and complete One Time Registration (OTR) with valid mobile number and email ID.
Step 2: Fill Online Application Login with OTR credentials, select "Advertisement No. 04/2026" and fill all personal, educational, and category details carefully. Upload photo and signature as per specifications.
Step 3: Pay Fee Pay applicable fee online via Payment Gateway. SC/ST candidates of Jharkhand pay ₹150, PwBD exempted, others pay ₹600. Fee payment available till 14.03.2026 (05:00 PM).
Step 4: Download & Print Application After final submission, download filled application form from "Download Filled Application" section. Take two printouts.
Step 5: Prepare Hard Copy Attach self-attested copies of all required documents (as per clause 15(i)) with the printed application. Arrange documents in order with page numbers. Make two sets.
